Van Groningen & Sons
Van Groningen & Sons, Inc. is a continuation of a farming operation that began in California in 1922 by Henry Van Groningen Sr. He camt to America in 1910 from theNetherlands and first farmed in Minnesota and then on the fertile grounds of Fresno/Hanford, California. There he started a dairy and also farmed some row crops. In 1929, the family and farming business moved to Ripon, California with the help of four sons.
Today, the corporation is family owned and operated by sons, grandsons, in-laws, and also by workers that have been with the family for over 45 years. This new generation proves to follow in their fathers’ footsteps, ensuring that the produce they offer is of the highest quality while conducting business with honesty, integrity, and responsibility.
The farming operation now consists of growing sweet corn, watermelons, pumpkins, variety winter squash, alfalfa, almonds and walnuts. For summer watermelon (seeded and seedless) and fall pumpkins, trust the Van Groningen family to deliver over 70 years of expertise in growing your favorite treats!
